1Who We Are
SATPrep1600 operates at satprep1600.com and provides AI-powered SAT preparation services. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. The Service is available to US residents only.
2What We Collect
Account data
Email address, name (optional), date of birth (for age verification), and subscription tier. Collected at signup.
Usage & practice data
Questions answered, answers selected, session timing, error patterns, AI tutor messages, hints requested, and score predictions. This data powers personalized learning and is essential to the Service.
Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics (page views, feature usage, funnel events). PostHog data is pseudonymized and linked to your account only after login. You can opt out by contacting us.
Error monitoring
We use Sentry for error tracking. Sentry captures stack traces and request context. We scrub email addresses and authorization headers before transmission.
Payment data
We do not store card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive and store subscription status and Stripe customer ID only.
3How We Use Your Data
- Provide and improve the Service (adaptive question selection, score prediction, AI tutoring)
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts, subscription alerts)
- Send product emails if you opt in (weekly progress digest, re-engagement reminders) — you can unsubscribe any time
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your practice data for any purpose other than powering your learning experience and improving the Service.

5Children's Privacy (COPPA)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. During signup, we ask for your date of birth. If we determine a user is under 13, the account is blocked and any collected data is deleted. If you believe your child under 13 has created an account, contact us at contact@satprep1600.com and we will delete the data promptly.
6Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your account is soft-deleted immediately (access revoked)
- Personal data is hard-deleted within 90 days
- Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained for product improvement
You can request account deletion from Settings → Account → Delete Account.
7Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of non-essential data collection

9Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you via email for material changes. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.
